We receive funding from the Bureau of Primary Care of the Health and Human Services (HHS). Under Section 224 of the Public Health Service Act, as amended by the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995, Georgia Mountains Health Services, Inc. and its employees are deemed to be federal employees qualified for protection under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) for certain health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
